Want To Get Vivo V7? Don’t Miss These Aspects!

Vivo recently came up with Vivo V7, and it promises to be the perfect selfie phone under the 20k segment. For the uninitiated, the brand had launched Vivo V7 Plus a few months back, and Vivo V7 takes the line ahead, but with a smaller screen and slightly smaller battery. Does Vivo V7 deliver as promised? Here’s a small take on what you need to know.

Know your phone

The phone runs on 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, and has 4GB of RAM with 32GB of onboard memory. It features a 5.7-inch IPS FullView display with 18:9 aspect ratio. In terms of Android experience, Vivo V7 runs on Funtouch OS 3.2, a fork of Android 7.1.2 Nougat, which should be a new thing for Stock Android users. Since this is a phone that’s all about the camera, you get a 24MP variant on the front with its own LED flash, and a 16MP variant on the rear, also with LED flash.

What works?

First things first, Vivo V7 comes with one of the best cameras for this price, and you get extremely great pictures on the go. The camera on the front is particularly useful and effective in more ways than one, especially keeping low light conditions in mind. While the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor may seem underwhelming for the price on paper, we didn’t have any issues using the device, and there are no concerns related to heating. You also get what you expect for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor screen. It also comes with Smart Split 3.0, which allows you to use two apps at the same time.

What doesn’t work?

We were quite surprised with the build of the device. Yes, Vivo V7 comes with a plastic back, and we didn’t feel about it. The 5.7-inch IPS FullView display is not bad, but for the price you pay, you at least expect full HD. With 32GB of onboard memory, it just doesn’t seem enough. For a tad more, you could go for Vivo V7 Plus, which has a bigger screen and also a better battery.

Final verdict

If are a selfie addict, go for Vivo V7 – It does offer bang for your buck. What doesn’t really work is an underwhelming processor, a pretty okay display and a custom skin. For the camera alone, you can buy this one. In terms of color, go for Vivo V7 gold, which looks better. In case you want to pay a tad more, Vivo V7 Plus may work better. Overall, this is a device that’s meant to be used on the go, and you won’t have issues with performance in general.
